Privacy Overview

Invictus Safety and Security Solutions does not automatically gather any personal information from you. This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily through contacting Invictus via email or online forms or by setting up a user account. 

When you visit invictuscanada.ca, Invictus’s web server automatically collects a limited amount of standard information essential to the operation and evaluation of Invictus’s website. This information includes:

  • the date and time of your page request,
  • the Internet Protocol (IP) address your computer is using to receive information,
  • the type and version of your browser, and
  • the name and size of the file you requested.

This information is not used to identify individuals who come to Invictus’s website. This information is only used to help Invictus assess its information services.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

The personal information you submit through Invictus’s Contact Forms – including email address and contact information – is collected by Invictus solely for the purpose of responding to your submission or request.

This information is not disclosed except to authorized personnel (Invictus staff or Contractors) for the purpose of addressing your feedback.Any personal information you submit to Invictus is secured once it reaches Invictus’s server. However, Invictus cannot guarantee the security of your information before it reaches Invictus’s server.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
